ATTENTION: OAK ANIMAL HOSPITAL COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

 

Regular Appointments and Services are still operating at Oak Animal Hospital via Front Door Service.

When you arrive, please stay in your vehicle in our parking lot, call 604-739-7111 and we’ll come to you or inform you to meet us at the door.

READ CAREFULLY:

We ask that in our efforts to ensure that we maintain the highest standard of care to our patients, that our clients and staff adhere to the following protocols while visiting our hospital.

If you are showing any of the following symptoms, have travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days or have had close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19, please arrange for someone else to bring your pet to their appointment – we will be screening for this.

  • Fever or chills
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Cough
  • Sore throat, trouble swallowing
  • Runny nose/stuffy nose or nasal congestion
  • Decrease or loss of smell or taste
  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain
  • Not feeling well, extreme tiredness, sore muscles

No clients on hospital premises – we ask that once you arrive for an appointment or for food/medication pick up please call the hospital 604-739-7111 and our team will assist you.

APPOINTMENTS:

  1. Please wait in your vehicle or in line 6 feet apart for social distancing protection
  2. Your call will be transferred to an exam room assistant for the patient history
  3. We will collect your pet at the front door and our doctor will perform the examination in the hospital
  4. The doctor will call you once the examination has been completed and go through treatment options
  5. If treatment is approved, reception will email you with further instructions. We will take a deposit at this time
  6. We will proceed with treatment and after settling the account your pet will be returned to you at the front door
  7. We ask that you keep a minimum of 6 feet away from our staff during the drop off process. This is to ensure the health of both yourself and our staff.

Payment – At this time, our preferred method of payment is tap or credit card. We are also excepting cash.

Pet belongings – No belongings will be permitted in the hospital except leashes. Cat carriers are okay but nothing besides a towel inside the kennel will be accepted.

At this time there will be no exceptions to allowing people into the hospital unless it is for a euthanasia appointment. For further information about euthanasia appointments please contact our team.

We ask that during this time for you be patient with us as we have become very busy and we are working our hardest to help both yourself and your pet while trying to keep our staff and families safe from COVID-19. Your patience is appreciated.
